A measuring instrument from the sixties on your wrist. Four coloured rings show how you are right now - Body Battery, stress, heart rate and today's steps - and not one of them is a progress bar dressed up as a dial. Each has a printed scale with real graduations, and is read like a gauge.
- Steps around the rim: eighteen numbered cells, one per 1000 steps. Everything past your goal turns red, so a good day shows at a glance.
- Three readings on printed scales: Body Battery on the second ring, heart rate on the third - its own 40 to 180 scale, read either by a marker or by a ring that fills - and stress right in the middle.
- Every ring says what it measures: a small icon stands in place of one of its scale marks. The dial explains itself, with no legend.
- You choose what each ring shows: Body Battery, stress, watch battery, step goal, floors climbed, Pulse Ox, sleep score, the move bar or solar intensity. The third ring also takes heart rate, and the icon changes with your choice.
- Intensity minutes, three ways: today, this week, or the last seven days. This week starts again every Monday, while the seven-day figure always counts a full week back from today.
- Weight towards a target: enter a starting weight and a target weight in the Garmin Connect app, and the ring shows how far along you are. It works whether you are losing weight or gaining it.
- Heart rate in your training zones: paint the third ring in the five zone colours and a glance tells you which effort you are in, not just the number.
- The minute numerals can go: if your watch already prints 05 to 55 around its bezel, switch them off. The dial then grows into the space they leave.
- Celsius or Fahrenheit: the forecast follows your watch, or you can pin it to either scale.
- Weather at the top: three temperatures on cream cells - now, in three hours and in six - with the condition written underneath in cursive script.
- One data field above the centre with any metric you like, or the original lettering. Press and hold to open its app.
- Steel sword hands with luminous inserts, the seconds hand orange. Weekday on the left, date on the right.
- Always-on display: dim bands and white scale numerals on black.
- Eight colourways, from Midnight to Arctic. Everything is drawn on the watch - no account, no phone app.
